Pasadena City College will host a technical assistance visit on Monday, April 14.  The Academic Senate of the California Community Colleges and the Community College League of California have joined forces to provide technical assistance to districts and colleges to ensure successful implementation of state laws and regulations.

Ben Smith, President of the Academic Senate of the California Community Colleges, and Scott Lay, President/CEO of the Community College League of California will deliver a presentation on participatory governance and answer questions for attendees.

“As the College prepares to enter its 90th Academic Year, effective working relationships among all campus groups are essential to continued growth and student success,” said Dr. Mark Rocha, President-Superintendent of PCC.

Matthew Jordan, Interim Dean of Instructional Support, encouraged all members of the campus community to attend as “it is vital that all campus constituents arrive at a shared understanding of applicable state laws and regulations,” said Jordan.

The technical assistance workshop will be held on the campus of PCC, Creveling Lounge, 9am to 1pm.  For additional information, visit http://asccc.org/services/technical-assistance.
