Kari Post, Pasadena City College’s part-time acting head coach for women’s volleyball this past season, has announced she is resigning to accept a head coaching job at another college in Northern California. Post directed the Lancers to a 14-9 season and a spot in the SoCal Playoffs in 2015. She was an assistant coach in two previous seasons at PCC.

Two of Post’s ’15 players recently earned scholarships to 4-year universities in middle blocker Kendra Logan (Xavier University of Louisiana) and libero Samantha Flores (Talladega College, Alabama).

Post was a star volleyball player at NorCal’s Sutter Union High. A setter, Post earned CIF Northern Section MVP honors and helped Sutter to four consecutive league titles and three section championships. She earned a scholarship to West Virginia University and was a 4-year starter for the then Big East Conference Mountaineers. She finished as WVU’s No. 3 all-time leader in set assists and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2011.

In 2013, she was an assistant coach for a Lancers team that was ranked No. 14 in the state, finished 15-10, and advanced to the second round of regionals.

Prior to PCC, she served as an assistant coach for one season at Citrus College (2012).

The college is in the process of selecting a new head coach for the 2016 season.
