Police Name Suspect in Sexual Attack on Homeless Woman

Pasadena police have identified the man they believe is the suspect in a case of sexual battery against a homeless woman.

The unidentified woman and her boyfriend were asleep in their encampment Saturday in the 400 block of South Raymond Avenue when about 2:50 a.m. she was startled and awoke.

The victim said she found herself partially unclothed and the suspect, also only partially-clothed man, sleeping behind her with his hands on her groin area. The suspect and her boyfriend both woke up when she did.

The suspect jumped up and fled with the boyfriend giving chase.

The suspect managed to get away, police said.

Through further investigation the victim was able to identify the suspect in this case as Emilio Buch, 47 years of age, who is also homeless.
