Pasadena police said today that a missing Pasadena woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s was found by Los Angeles police officers responding to a call of a “woman down.” The woman, identified by authorities as Patricia Sylvis, was examined at a hospital and later released to her family.
Sylvis had been missing since Monday, authorities said, when she wandered away from her home in the 900 block of Elizabeth Street.
Ground and air units were used to patrol the area looking for Sylvis. Officers and detectives canvassed the area, interviewed neighbors, checked the major thoroughfares and local hospitals. In addition, notifications were made to regional police agencies, the bus and Gold Lines.
