In an effort to enforce the law and educate the driving public while reducing the likelihood of serious injuries and fatal collisions, Pasadena police will be conducting a citywide traffic enforcement program on Friday, Aug. 21.
Officers will be deployed at various locations throughout the city and on the lookout for violations that include, but are not limited to speeding, and red light and right-of-way violations.
When violations are observed, drivers and motorcycle riders will either be cited or educated or both on the safety concerns associated with the particular violation.
Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
