[Updated] About 900 Pasadena residents awoke to a power outage on Monday, as dozens more were affected by a water service outage, officials said.

The hours-long power outage, centered in the area of Colorado Boulevard and Wilson Avenue, left abou5t 900 Pasadena Water and Power customers without electricity, according to PWP Spokeswoman Margie Otto. Service had been restored to all but one customer by about 7 a.m.

The power outage initially affected customers South of Corson Street and North of Green Street, as well as East of Lake Avenue and West of Chester Avenue, Otto said.

A cause was yet to be determined.

Simultaneously, water service was unavailable for less than 50 customers in the area of Arroyo Parkway and Glenarm Street, according to Otto.

The water service disruption was blamed on an old pipe beneath Marengo Avenue, and service was expected to be back on by 11 a.m., according to PWP.
