PCC Professor Kaitzer Puglia Elected to La Cañada Unified School District Governing Board

Pasadena City College Professor Kaitzer Puglia was elected to the La Canãda Unified School District Governing Board on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Puglia will fill one of three open seats on the governing board.

Puglia has worked in the field of education for more than 15 years, teaching at PCC and working as an education and curriculum specialist.  She has served on the School Site Councils and as President of the La Canãda Elementary PTA.  Puglia has also served as an advisor to the California Department of Education.

Puglia holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development, a Master of Arts in Human Development and is currentl working on her doctorate degree in the area of student learning.  As a member of the La Canãda Unified School District Governing Board, Puglia states that she is “looking forward to working on behalf of the students and the families and the teaches and really trying to focus that student learning is essential to anything we do.”
