Pasadena Unified School District’s Rose City High School will host an open house event this Friday, November 20 to showcase AdvancePath Academics, a new program designed to support, teach and assist high school students who were disengaged from a traditional classroom environment.

AdvancePath Academics provides an opportunity for students to master the core subjects required to obtain a high school diploma while also utilizing technology and personalized assistance to develop life skills.  AdvancePath is one component of the district’s broader alternative education strategy designed to support and provide opportunities for at-risk students who have not performed optimally in a comprehensive high school setting.

This event is open to students, parents and community members.  Attendees will have an opportunity to experience a typical day in the classroom, meet and talk with students, and ask questions of District and AdvancePath officials.

The program begins at 10:00 a.m. at Rose City High School, 351 S. Hudson Avenue, Pasadena.
