Pasadena City College is pleased to announce that Michèle Pedrini, PCC associate professor of Languages, has been awarded a scholarship to study French pedagogy in Québec by the Québec Ministry of International Relations and Foreign Commerce.
“Dr. Michèle Pedrini is the heart and soul of PCC’s French program, and the scholarship to study in Québec is a well-deserved honor,” said Dr. Theodore Young, dean of PCC’s Languages Division. “I’m sure she will bring home to PCC great knowledge that will be readily applicable in our classrooms.”
In July, Pedrini will attend a three-week conference in Québec focused on French teaching methods and Québec culture. The Québec Ministry selects a total of 70 professors of French from around the world to participate in the conference.
“I'm very excited at the prospect of learning new teaching methods and comparing notes with other French professors from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America,” Pedrini said.
