Recycling for a Greener Tomorrow at the Pasadena Senior Center

As we move deeper into the digital age, the need to responsibly manage our electronic waste has become increasingly vital. The Pasadena Senior Center (PSC) has taken a step in the right direction by organizing the Electronic Waste Day, a free event scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Pasadena Senior Center, located at 85 E. Holly St., will be the hub of this eco-conscious initiative. Participants are encouraged to bring their old electronics, including computers, monitors, keyboards, servers, TVs, medical equipment, smartphones, cable components, stereos, and more, and drop them off in the patio area behind the building. Friendly volunteers will be on hand to assist with the drop-off process.

For those wondering about parking, worry not. There are parking options available on the east side of the building or at the “Public Parking” structure on Raymond, just north of Holly.

What’s more, you can bring your parking ticket inside for validation, making your visit even more convenient. If you prefer to use public transportation, the Memorial Park Metro station is conveniently nearby, making it easy for all eco-conscious residents to join in.

E-waste poses a significant environmental challenge due to the harmful substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium found in electronic devices.
