Police investigating a report of an argument in Pasadena on Tuesday night ultimately seized three loaded handguns and arrested six people, officials said.
The incident unfolded about 8:10 p.m. at Mentone Avenue and Del Monte Street, according to Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.
Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a group of people arguing, Dawkins said.
On arrival, an officer immediately spotted a handgun sitting atop the tire of a car next to the group, Dawkins said.
Further investigation led police to find two more loaded handguns inside other cars at the scene, he said.
The six people at the scene, including one who was already on parole, were arrested on suspicion of weapon-related violations, the lieutenant said.
The arrestees lived in Pasadena, Palmdale, Bellflower, Fontana and Corona, he said.
