A man allegedly driving drunk sped through an intersection and smashed into a car, totaling it and injuring two of its occupants at about 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Sierra Madre Villa and Sierra Madre Boulevard, authorities say.
The victims were trapped inside the wreck, forcing responding firefighters to use cutting equipment to extricate them.
Two of the victims were transported to a local hospital by paramedics with moderate injuries, Pasadena police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian said.
Arrested at the scene for DUI was David Huntzinger, 24, of Pasadena, Gourdikian said.
Huntzinger was uninjured, he added.
