Every fall the Pasadena Senior Center offers a full lineup of classes for people 50 and older ranging from art and computers to foreign languages and Zumba. Some classes are now offered evenings and Saturdays to accommodate working seniors.
As the registration period for fall classes approaches, anyone can sample the most popular offerings for free by attending half-hour sessions, meeting the instructors and learning more about the courses.
All sample classes, known as Class Tasting, will take place Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 5 and 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St.

9 to 9:30 a.m. – Beginner Tai Chi in the West Pavilion
9:30 to 10 a.m. – Advanced Tai Chi in the West Pavilion
9:30 to 10 a.m. – Alexander Technique, East Pavilion

Spotlight on New Classes
Improv Comedy will help you think on your feet, stay socially active and be funny at the same time with instruction by experienced improv comedians.
Salsa Dancing is a zesty, energetic and easy way to learn steps and rhythms ranging from the Cha Cha to the Merengue, with or without a partner.
Sing-along is for everyone who wants to add their voices to songs from days gone by, have fun with others and make beautiful music together.
How to Register
After sampling fall classes for free Oct. 5 and 6 and getting the complete list of classes, schedules and other details, register at www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org (click on Classes and Lectures) or pick up a registration form at the Welcome Desk. The registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 9.
Most classes range from $10 to $70 for Pasadena Senior Center members. Scholarships for low-income members are available on a limited basis.
