School District to Host Tuesday Virtual Town Hall on Sexually Transmitted Infections

Event aims to raise awareness, will discuss prevention and treatment with medical experts

The Pasadena Unified School District is inviting middle and high school students, parents, and caregivers to participate in a virtual town hall on Tuesday, April 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. to discuss sexually transmitted infections, their prevention, and treatment. The event, referred to as a “Youth Town Hall,” will feature a panel discussion with physicians and medical experts from Huntington Health, Exer Urgent Care, and Los Angeles County Public Health.

The town hall aims to engage the Pasadena Unified School District community in an important conversation about sexual health. Participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance through a Google Forms link provided by the District: https://forms.gle/YWWqitPTnUxX3u839.

“Pasadena Unified School District middle and high school students, parents, and caregivers are invited to join this important conversation about sexually transmitted infections, prevention and treatment,” the District stated in its announcement.

The event will be conducted online only.
