Search Team Found Five Hikers Who Went Missing in Eaton Canyon Area

A search team Friday morning found five hikers who went missing overnight in the Eaton Canyon area near Altadena.

The hikers — with no reported injuries — were found shortly before 11 a.m. near one of the waterfalls in the canyon, and were being escorted out of the area, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The group went hiking on Thursday, and was reported missing this morning, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Burton Brink of the Altadena Station.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent a helicopter crew to assist in the search.
