Police arrested a woman after she allegedly pulled a gun during a dispute with her father in Pasadena, which went off as the two struggled over the weapon on Sunday night, officials said.
Officers first responded at about 8:30 p.m. to reports of a gunshot heard in the 300 block of Adena Street, between Los Robles and Garfield avenues, said Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.
They determined a woman had become involved in a dispute with her father which resulted in her brandishing a handgun, he said.
The gun went off as the father and daughter wrestled for control of it, but no one was struck, the lieutenant said.
Berenice Galilea Balderas, 26, of Pasadena was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to police and Los Angeles County booking records.
Bail for Balderas was set at $70,000 pending her initial appearance in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
