A shooting near the Robinson Park Recreation Center in Pasadena sent a bullet flying through the front door of an occupied apartment, but no injuries were reported, officials said.

Officers first responded at about 6:55 p.m. Tuesday to a report of gunfire heard in the 00 block of Hammond Street, near Morton Avenue and the center, just south of the Kings Villages Apartments, according to Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.

Police discovered a single bullet had penetrated the front door of an apartment containing at least one woman, Dawkins said.

A suspect description was unavailable, as no eyewitnesses had been found, the lieutenant said.
