Spread Holiday Cheer by Giving to A Family In Need

Sycamores, a Pasadena-based behavioral health agency, is committed to improving the lives of those they serve. During the holiday season, that includes providing gifts to underprivileged children and families in the community through their annual Adopt-A-Family program. This meaningful tradition connects generous donors with deserving families who need extra support with gifts of toys, clothing, household items, and food during the holidays. Last year, over 50 families were ‘adopted’ through the program.

2022 Adopt-A-Family recipient Sycamores President and CEO Debra Manners is grateful for the enthusiastic support from the community, “Our friends and supporters truly demonstrate the joy of giving. It is heartwarming to see their generosity and commitment to making sure our families have happy holidays.” Manners added, “And the need is great – many of our families struggle with monthly expenses. They simply cannot afford the additional cost of holiday gifts.”

Sycamores is reaching out on behalf of those families and asking compassionate members of the community – including individuals, businesses, and other groups – to spread cheer again this holiday season by adopting a family. Families with the greatest need, across all 10 of the agency’s locations in Southern California, are chosen to participate in this program. Sycamores will provide a brief narrative about the family and their present situation, as well as a wish list, giving donors insight into the family’s needs. The generous support Sycamores receives from the community is critical to making a difference in the lives of children and families and to providing them with a memorable holiday celebration.
