Tetra Tech is No. 1 in Water for 17 Years

Pasadena-based consulting and engineering services firm Tetra Tech has been ranked No. 1 in Water by Engineering News Record in the publication’s Top 500 Design Firms issue.

Engineering News Record (ENR) is a weekly magazine covering the construction industry worldwide.

This is the 17th year that Tetra Tech has ranked at the top in the water category. This year, Tetra Tech also ranked No. 4 out of 500 firms in the 2020 Design Firms list, which ranks the largest U.S.-based designs firms, both publicly and privately held, based on design-specific revenue.

ENR rankings are the result of annual surveys of the construction industry’s key segments. The magazine ranks companies engaged in general contracting, specialty contracting, engineering, architecture and environmental services, among other specialties.

The statement said Tetra Tech is able to achieve consistently high ENR rankings owing to the “hard work, dedication, and passion of its teams of industry-leading experts” whose knowledge spans all phases of the water cycle.

Aside from the two significant rankings, Tetra Tech also ranked No. 2 in the Sewer and Waste category, No. 4 in International Markets, No. 5 in Hazardous Waste for the third year in a row, No. 9 in Manufacturing, No. 10 in Power, and No. 18 in General Building.

Tetra Tech has contracts with government and commercial clients worldwide, with projects related to water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy, and international development. The company has 20,000 associates worldwide, according to Tetra Tech’s website.
