Say Cheese

This world would be a sad and frigid place indeed if there were no cheese. Fortunately and finally, Pasadena has a cheese shop worthy of the city: The Cheese Store on South Lake Avenue. Hundreds of imported artisanal  cheeses, some quite rare and all worth savoring, beckon from refrigerated shelves behind knowledgable, genuine cheesemongers.

Proprietors Natalia and Louis Pastis have created an intelligent and sophisticated shop built around delicious taste. They fly in unusual cheeses like Clacbitou and Galet de Thomas from france and Boquerones (in olive oil) from Spain.

The shop balances the cheeses with gourmet foods (olives, meats, pastas, olive and truffle oils and more). All this, and special tastings and classes, too. The Cheese Store should not be missed.
