Pasadena Police Detectives along with the U.S. Marshal’s Pacific Task Force officers arrested three suspects in the June 4 shooting of a man in the 100 block of Painter Street.
The unidentified victim survived the incident. He was transported by paramedics to a local hospital in critical condition and is currently in stable condition and recovering.
Police detectives said Friday the investigation ultimately led to the identity and arrest of three suspects for the attempted murder.
The investigation also revealed this was not a random act of violence, but the motive remains under investigation.
No further details have been released.
The suspects have been identified as Jason William Zarate, 27, of Pasadena; Edgar Stephen Fuentes, 21, of Pasadena resident; and Stephanie Albarran, 23, of West Covina.
The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office on Friday. All three suspects were charged with attempted murder.
Albarran’s and Fuentes’ bail has been set at $1,030,000. Zarate’s bail was set at $2,030,000. Their arraignment was set for today.
