Three young men were stabbed Friday night after a large fight broke out in a group of people gathered on a Northwest Pasadena street.

Pasadena police were called to the 100 block of West Claremont Street at 1:46 a.m., Lt. John Mercado said, after receiving multiple calls about the brawl.

As officers arrived, the crowd dispersed, he said.

Shortly afterwards, a local hospital reported to police that three men who had been stabbed arrived at their emergency room. Police believe all three had been wounded during the fight.

One victim is in his mid-twenties, and is a Colton resident. He had been stabbed in the back of his head and in his neck, Mercado said.

The second victim, a Pasadena resident in his late teens, had been stabbed in his chest.

Mercado said the third victim, who is in his early twenties and is also a Pasadena resident, had been cut on his left arm.

None of the three victims was cooperative, Mercado said. None would provide any details about the incident or who had stabbed them.
