Thursday Tales and Tunes

Professional storytellers and musicians will provide free, fun and entertaining shows for children 6 and up Thursday mornings in July and August at Pasadena’s Central Library followed by a repeat afternoon performance at a branch library site.

Renowned author and musician, Jose Luis Orozco will have everyone singing and dancing to songs in English and Spanish on Thursday, July 11 at 10 a.m. in Central Library’s Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 285 E. Walnut St. and 3:30 p.m. at Linda Vista Branch Library, 1281 Bryant St.

Gifted storyteller and writer, Antonio Sacre will share delightful folktales and stories based on proverbs from his childhood on Thursday, July 18 at 10 a.m. in Central Library’s Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 285 E. Walnut St. and 1:30 p.m. at La Pintoresca Branch Library, 1355 N. Raymond Ave.

Well-known teacher and percussionist, Cory Hills will use bells and drums to tell stories in new and amazing ways on Thursday, July 25 at 10 a.m. in Central Library’s Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 285 E. Walnut St. and 2 p.m. at Hastings Branch Library, 3325 E. Orange Grove Blvd.

Illusionist Arty Loon will perform magic, crazy antics, and more on Thursday, August 1 at Central Library’s Donald R. Wright Auditorium, 1 p.m. at Hill Avenue Branch Library, 55 S. Hill Ave., and 3 p.m. at San Rafael Branch Library, 1240 Nithsdale Rd.
