Tournament to Host Open House for Prospective Volunteers

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association will host an open house for those interested in applying to become a volunteer member at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Tournament House.

Each year, the 935 volunteer members contribute more than 80,000 hours of combined service. Nicknamed “White Suiters,” because of their distinctive white suites worn on New Year’s Day, they ensure the success of the Parade and Game.

Consider joining an organization that represents communities across Los Angeles County and celebrates the dedicated Members who come together to have fun, make friends and enrich the lives of millions of people around the world. Membership also offers networking and leadership opportunities, and the experience of planning world-class events.

It’s an opportunity to meet current members, ask questions about membership and tour of the headquarters of the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.

Recently, a membership requirement was updated offering an opportunity for more Los Angeles County residents to apply. Now, you must live or work within 25 miles from Pasadena City Hall, an increase from 15 miles.

Requirements for Pasadena Tournament of Roses membership:

• Must be between the ages of 21 and 66 as of January 21, 2022.
• Live or work within 25 miles of Pasadena City Hall.
• Pay annual dues of $55 -$75 depending on member level.
• Be available to volunteer EACH year on and around January 1.
• The 2023 Parade and Game will be held on January 2.
• Be available to attend monthly committee meetings throughout the year.
