Two Shot Tuesday Evening in Brazen Drive-By Attack

 

Two juveniles were struck by gunfire in a brazen drive-by shooting around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday evening in an alley near the busy Orange Grove Bouevard and Los Robles Avenue intersection, police said.

A third juvenile was wounded in the neck by flying debris as bullets from the attack struck a parked car in which the juvenile was sitting.

Pasadena Police Lt. John Luna said the two victims had been walking in McGrew Alley northbound when a car containing two Hispanic men in their 20’s or 30’s approached them as the car headed south from Orange Grove Boulevard.

Luna said the passenger opened fire on the pair. Witnesses told Pasadena Now they heard eight or nine shots.

The suspects fled in their vehicle westbound on Parke Street, Luna said. There is no description of the suspect’s vehicle at this writing.

The two juvenile gunshot victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Luna said their wounds are not considered life-threatening.

The third victim was treated by paramedics at the scene.
