Union Station Foundation’s “All the Fixings” meal box distribution will take place this Wednesday, 11/17, and they are in need of critical support. There are four food items the meal boxes are still missing: Dinner Rolls, Pies, Canned Corn, and Elbow Macaroni.

To make Dinner in the Park possible for Union Station’s clients, they need 170 packages of dinner rolls. Plus they’ll need pies of all kinds. You can help make the holidays sweeter with a pie donation. Whether it’s pecan, apple or pumpkin, Union Station needs to collect 283 pies.

They also need help collecting 820 cans of corn. Each meal kit will include two cans of corn for clients to cook as a side dish and the remainder will be used for community meals. Also needed are 123 lbs of elbow macaroni for delicious mac and cheese to accompany their turkey dinners.

Much like last year, these are the ways the nonprofit will celebrate Thanksgiving this November:

A large-scale community dinner in the park isn’t possible this year, due to COVID-19, but everyone can still give thanks and celebrate together, the nonprofit said. Union Station will be serving private, festive sit-down dinners for their residents at the Adult Center, Family Center, Centennial Place, Huntington Villas and Casa Luna.
