Villa Esperanza Guild held their 24th annual ‘A Day at the Races’ benefiting Villa Esperanza Services on Saturday, February 26th.  This year’s event raised over $74,000 in support of Villa’s Hjelte-Phillips Speech and Language Center and Villa’s Residential and Independent Living programs, two of Villa’s nine programs that assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Over 130 guests enjoyed the afternoon which included lunch, prize drawings, and silent auction along with a day of racing.

The benefit chair for this year was Irene Albeck, Treasurer of the Guild. Committee members included Joan Feser, President of Guild, Connie Ching, Judie Christopoulos, and Diana Gamble.

The Villa Esperanza Guild was formed in 1968 to increase awareness of the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
