Warm Through Weekend, Cooling Trend Next Week

After a partly to mostly cloudy Thursday, Pasadena can expect a cooling trend through Friday as onshore flow strengthens. The marine layer is expected to deepen, potentially pushing clouds into the coastal mountain slopes by Friday night.

A warming trend kicks in Saturday and will persist through the weekend as a ridge of high pressure slowly drifts over the region. The warm-up is likely to peak on Sunday mid-day.

Looking ahead to next week, a significant cool-down is shaping up for Tuesday and Wednesday as a trough of low pressure digs into the region. Light precipitation is possible sometime between Tuesday and Thursday, with a 10 percent chance of amounts exceeding a tenth of an inch.
