Good Food
I went last night to pick up a dinner. I am getting sick of my cooking so time to get real FOOD! I selected Bacchus Kitchen up on Washington because I think the chef is the best in the area (he trained under Thomas Keller) and it has contact-less pick-up. so I called and placed my order, gave my time for pick- up and paid by credit card all over the telephone. I arrived at 5 pm to get my food. They saw me through the window and immediately placed my bag with a receipt taped to it on a table in their patio. I grabbed it and walked 20 ft to my car in their lot. Easy, fast and no germs!! It was delicious and I plan on doing this next Sat night again as a treat for my family. the food was perfectly prepared and it was like eating in a 5-star restaurant only right on the kitchen table. I hope you can write up this experience because Claude is doing such a great job. He caters so much that he is good at this and so much better than the boring food I have been getting once a week on Lake Street. I know good food and this was a great meal!.
Rack of Lamb was the special so we ordered that. YUM! Food to the correct temperature and piped potatoes and shaved Brussel sprouts. the lamb was top quality meat. Claude is verify personable and kind. He wants me to come back and he made blood orange jelly-He wants me to have a jar -so nice of him. He is our best chef and we need to support his efforts. Bacchus is a great neighborhood bistro and not a chain establishment.
This is what Pasadena needs to keep us on the foodie radar and not just a bunch of chains.
