Weekend Cooldown Expected

Pasadena will bask in continued dry conditions with warming temperatures through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. 

Today, the area will experience a slight warming trend, although the presence of a persistent marine layer will moderate temperatures.

The weather will take a cooler turn over the weekend as an unseasonably cold storm system approaches from the north. This system is expected to bring gusty breezes and a chance for light precipitation from Saturday overnight.

Looking ahead to next week, Pasadena can expect a return to warmer and dry conditions as another warming trend sets in, promising clearer skies and more consistent temperatures as the week progresses.

Today: Patchy fog before 11:00 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 79. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 11:00 p.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 54. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast after midnight.

Friday: Patchy fog before 11:00 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Friday Night: Patchy fog after 11:00 p.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 55. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
