Weekend Temperatures to Climb, Labor Day in Pasadena Likely to Top Out at 97

Clear skies, sizzling temps predicted for the holiday weekend

Temperatures are expected to jump up to the 90’s on Saturday morning to kick off the long Labor Day holiday weekend, the National Weather Service cautioned.

Temperatures will keep rising as a high pressure expands into the region and Monday is likely to be the warmest.

A lessening marine layer will bring about clear skies for the weekend.

The above-90 theme will continue through mid-week, the NWS predicted.

Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 86. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 92. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Sunday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Labor Day: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 96.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 91.
