Wind Advisory in Effect Sunday

A windy advisory has been posted by the National Weather Service for gusty northeast winds expected to blow across most of L.A. County on Sunday, leading to a clear and sunny day in Pasadena topping out at 73.

Forecasters predict east northeast wind from 10 to 15 mph becoming south. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.  The I-210 freeway may be affected by gusty crosswinds, they cautioned.

The advisory is in effect until midday.

Monday will be similar, but clouds will increase and a chance of rain will develop on Tuesday. Forecasters say rainfall amounts will be light, under one third of an inch. 

The balance of the weekdays will be cloudy. By next Saturday, clear and sunny skies will return.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 73. East northeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 75. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 74.

Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Wednesday: A chance of showers, mainly before 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 68.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 73.
