[UPDATED] Police arrested a Pasadena woman over the weekend after she threatened and pursued her son and his pregnant girlfriend with a large kitchen knife, officials said.

Authorities received a call about 9:30 p.m. Saturday reporting the confrontation at a home in the 300 block of Mar Vista Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema said.

The suspect, later identified as 55-year-old Felicia Jones, had been locked out of the apartment but was trying to get back in, he said.

The woman was attempting to climb into the apartment when officers arrived, Hettema said. They took her into custody without a struggle and recovered a 7.5-inch kitchen knife.

Officers said the knife had been repeatedly plunged into the door of the apartment.

Jones was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon, Hettema said.

Information regarding Jones’ bail amount and initial court appearance was not available.
