Police investigators are now looking for a middle-aged woman after she figured in a hit-and-run incident in the 600 block of Buckeye Street in Pasadena on Sunday night.

Lt. Mark Goodman of the Pasadena Police Department said the woman, described as white and her 40s, is being sought for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon – the weapon being her car.

Goodman said the woman had dragged another woman about five feet with her car when she drove away after crashing into the victim’s parked vehicle at about 8:48 p.m. Sunday.

The victim, a 43-year-old resident, was sitting on her front porch with another member of her family when she heard a loud crash. When she went out to check on the noise, she saw that her vehicle, parked in front of her residence, had been hit by another car.

The victim confronted the suspect and they had an argument, the suspect pleading for the victim to let her go and not pursue a complaint.

“Of course the victim wanted the suspect’s information. The victim grabbed on to the side mirror of the suspect’s vehicle and the suspect then chose to drive away,” Goodman said. “She dragged the victim for about five feet. [The victim] released the mirror and the suspect drove away out of sight.”

Goodman said the victim refused medical aid, although she was complaining of some pain.

The Pasadena Police Department is seeking further information about the identity of the suspect. Anyone with information about the incident may contact the Pasadena Police at (626) 744-4501.
