A Burbank woman was assaulted and robbed at knifepoint in Pasadena Wednesday night after pulling off the I-210 Freeway to find a bathroom, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant John Mercado.
“The victim was driving home on the 210 and she exited the freeway on Marengo Avenue to look for a place to use the restroom,” Mercado said. “She pulled into an unknown street, exited her car, and was approached by the suspects who assaulted her and took her money.”
The suspects, described as a 6-foot, 250 pound black female with long hair and a 5’10” skinny black male, fled in a dark colored vehicle after the robbery, according to Mercado.
Though the robbery occurred Wednesday night, the victim waited until Thursday morning to report the crime, Mercado said. She was not injured during the crime, and did not require a trip to the hospital, he said.
