Nonprofit Young & Healthy will host a Back-to-School Vision Clinic in collaboration with Helen Keller International on August 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Pasadena office. The event aims to help close health equity gaps for children and families in need.
Children ages 7-18 will receive vision screenings, exams, prescriptions and glasses.
This is the first vision event for Young & Healthy, which has connected area children and families with health care since 1990.
The organization has also collaborated with the USC Ostrow School of Dentistry for 29 years to host an annual Mobile Dental Clinic, which will take place in October.
There are still a limited number of openings for children to be seen at the Back-to-School Vision Clinic.
Families are strongly encouraged to register their children as soon as possible by calling Young & Healthy at (626) 795-5166.
