A shooting in a residential neighborhood in Pasadena early Thursday left an 18-year-old man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The attack took place around 1 a.m. in the 1900 block of Navarro Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.
Officers responded to a report of two gunshots heard, coupled with a vehicle speeding out of the area, he said.
Police initially found no sign of a victim in the area, but were notified a short time later that an 18-year-old man had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his torso, according to Dawkins.
Spent bullet casings were ultimately found at the scene, he said.
No further details, including a suspect description or motive, were available as the investigation remained in its early stages.
