An 18-year-old woman was beaten Thursday night by a group of four people, knocked unconscious and robbed after agreeing to meet up with a man she had just become acquainted with at a party, authorities said.

The crime unfolded about 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Bellmore Way, just south of Rosemont Avenue, according to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Russo.

“She met a man at a party and then agreed to meet him at another location,” he said. “When she arrived at that location, four other suspects then assaulted her and took personal property.”

The victim was knocked unconscious as she was punched and kicked and suffered numerous abrasions and cuts, police said. She was examined by paramedics but did not wish to be taken to a hospital.

Stolen was the victim’s cell phone, purse and other personal property, the lieutenant said.

The man who lured the victim away from the party, as well as the man and three women who attacked and robbed her, were all estimated to be between 19 and 22 years old, he said. Detailed suspect descriptions were not available, and no getaway car was seen.
