2023 SkillsUSA California Conference Results



South Pasadena High School (SPHS) SkillsUSA students recently competed in the 56th annual State Leadership and Skill Conference. During the conference, the SPHS chapter earned a Gold Medal in the Chapter Excellence competition and won $3,300 to use for their activities. Several students also earned awards in various categories. Congratulations to all the hard-working students and their advisor, SPHS CTE teacher Sandra Matson-Fennell.

Silver Medalists
Geeyou Lee for Medical Terminology. Lee also qualified for the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta.

Chaslyn Bradford for Customer Service. Bradford will be serving as a National Delegate at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta.

Bronze Medalists
Linus Eisenberg, Treyton Freking, Cai Chun Lin and Ethan Masjedi for Entrepreneurship

Five students qualified for the SkillsUSA Statesman award. This award recognizes a student’s demonstration of SkillsUSA knowledge, civic awareness, and leadership skills, along with an understanding of the SkillsUSA Framework and ability to articulate their personal experience in career and technical education (CTE).
