Marshall Fundamental School Congratulates its 2021 AP Capstone Candidates
Marshall Fundamental School congratulates its AP Capstone Candidates for Diploma students. The AP Capstone™ is a diploma program from the College Board. It’s based on two year long AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Rather than teaching subject-specific content, these courses develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. Students who complete the two-year program can earn one of two different AP Capstone awards, which are valued by colleges across the United States and around the world.
The AP Capstone Class of 2021 is the largest group of Capstone Scholars Marshall has graduated since the start of its Capstone program. 37 Capstone Diploma candidates are celebrating the culmination of their independently designed and conducted research projects as well as 4,000-5,000 word academic per paper, with topics ranging from politics to bio-mimetic architecture. Their resilience in completing their investigations and papers are to be commended as they overcame numerous challenges and limitations in the face of distance learning, yet excelling and persevering despite those circumstances. Marshall continues to be the only school in the city of Pasadena to offer the Capstone Diploma.
