Aislin Tamez Torres Shines as La Salle Rolls Past Eastside, 54-29

La Salle College Prep delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, powering past Eastside High School (Lancaster, CA) with a 54–29 victory that showcased teamwork, intensity, and standout individual efforts. The Lancers controlled the pace from the opening tip and widened their lead each quarter, effectively putting the game out of reach by the time the third period ended.

At the center of La Salle’s success was Aislin Tamez Torres, who turned in one of her strongest outings of the season. Tamez Torres filled the stat sheet with 13 points and nine rebounds, coming within a single board of a double-double. Her defensive presence continued to be a theme as well, extending her streak of multi-steal games to three straight.

She wasn’t the only Lancer making noise. Riley Higgins delivered a near double-double of her own, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds. With multiple players contributing on both ends of the floor, La Salle’s offense flowed smoothly—evident in the team’s 12 total assists, a stark contrast to Eastside’s three.

Eastside, despite the loss, saw several players step up with solid efforts. Dominique Butler Burnett led the Lions with 11 points and brought energy throughout the matchup, but the team struggled to match La Salle’s consistency.

The win brings La Salle back to an even 2–2 on the season, while Eastside also moves to 2–2 after the defeat.

Both teams quickly turn their attention to their next challenges. La Salle is scheduled to face Hill in tournament play on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., while Eastside prepares to host Littlerock at the same time—an opportunity for the Lions to make an early statement in conference action.

Final Score: La Salle 54, Eastside 29
