Friendship Feast

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (ABVM) hosts an engaging and interactive Kindergarten program. Everyday students dance, sing, pray, play games, and work with technology. During this time, students are also learning important skills such as phonics to help them identify letter sounds and begin to blend those sounds into words. ABVM focus on number sense and start to add and subtract. In Social Studies, students learn about the Native Americans and Pilgrims and end this unit with a Friendship Feast. Science includes opportunities for experiments like the blubber glove to find out how Arctic Animals stay warm. ABVM students also spend time during the week in Spanish, Computers, Music, and PE.
