Assumption School Celebrates Mardi Gras 2026 with Faith and Festivity

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School joyfully celebrates Mardi Gras 2026 on Tuesday, February 17, from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., giving thanks for God’s goodness as the school community prepares its hearts for the sacred season of Lent. The celebration offers students and families a meaningful opportunity to rejoice together before beginning a time of prayer, reflection, and renewal. It is a beautiful reminder of the joy found in faith and fellowship.

Hosted by the 6th Grade class, the event will feature a lively parade, exciting games, and plenty of festive fun for all to enjoy. Families are encouraged to bring a lunch, while snacks, candy, and delicious beignets will be provided. Attendees are invited to wear traditional Mardi Gras colors – purple, green, and gold – with jeans or uniform bottoms.
