Aveson Charter Schools’ “Lift Every Voice Black History Celebration”

Aveson Charter Schools is excited for its Lift Every Voice Black History Celebration tonight, Friday, Feb. 25, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Aveson School of Leaders, 1919 Pinecrest Dr., Altadena.

Students will showcase their Story Quilt Gallery and teach attendees about equality, love, empowerment and social justice. Performances by MC Cole Terry, Opening by Baba Onochie: Libation/”Honoring Our Ancestors”, Aveson Middle School Choir, Community Boti Circle, and West African Drum and Dance.

Storytelling – The History of The Blues and Rock & Roll, Poem by Bryce Ly and Speeches by Special Guests!
