Aveson Schools TK Students Build Math Skills Through Play and Exploration

Aveson Schools encourages its transitional kindergarten (TK) students to explore the foundations of mathematics through Eureka Math, an approach that fosters learning through play, curiosity and conversation. Through hands-on activities, games, counting, sorting and shape exploration, students develop early mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills. They also learn to explain how they arrive at their answers, helping them build confidence in their reasoning and communication.

Students are encouraged to share their ideas, listen to different perspectives, ask questions and discover that problems can often be solved in more than one way. By touching, moving, experimenting and making connections, these young learners develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts while growing into confident, curious problem-solvers.
