Bringing Comfort Home: Learning Works Launches Holiday Pillow Drive

As the holiday season begins, Learning Works Charter School is reflecting on the basic comforts that help its students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Research consistently shows that quality sleep boosts teens’ memory, mood, and focus — yet many Learning Works students do not have access to something as simple as a clean pillow of their own. When household budgets are stretched, essential items like pillows understandably fall behind rent, groceries, transportation, and other daily necessities.

This Giving Tuesday, the school is making a heartfelt request:
Donate a brand-new, sealed pillow for a Learning Works student.

A pillow may seem small, but for youth facing economic or housing instability, it offers real comfort, dignity, and a better night’s sleep.

Ways to Support the Pillow Drive:

• Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2FSB8JTVO7Y8Y
• Brand-new, sealed pillows from any retailer
• Drop-off donations from 12/2–12/5 at Learning Works, 90 N. Daisy Ave., Pasadena
• Cash/Check/PayPal gifts (memo: “Pillow Drive”): https://www.publicworksinc.org/donate/

“Thank you for helping Learning Works provide warmth, comfort, and care to the students who need it most this season!”
