Chandler School Second Graders Honor Loved Ones Through Día de los Muertos Ofrendas

As Halloween approached, Chandler School second graders took time to remember and honor loved ones who had passed away by creating their own ofrendas, or traditional Día de los Muertos altars. Their tributes honored cherished family members, beloved dogs, and even goldfish, with each offering reflecting special memories and enduring connections. Through these thoughtful creations, students learned that Día de los Muertos is not simply about mourning those who have died, but about celebrating their lives, keeping their memories alive, and honoring the love that continues long after they are gone.
