Cooking Up Culture and Creativity at Pasadena Waldorf School

As part of their year-long cooking and practical arts curriculum, Pasadena Waldorf School’s Ms. Martinelli’s Grade 3 class has turned the classroom into a bustling kitchen, this week making delicious, handmade empanadas! In Waldorf schools around the world, cooking isn’t just about the tasty reward at the end — it’s a deeply immersive, hands-on experience that begins in Early Childhood and continues through High School where students practice math, build culinary and fine motor skills, and connect with global cultural traditions. Check out our young chefs in action!
