Diving Into Innovation: St. Gregory School’s Middle Schoolers Explore STEAM with “In Deep Sea Bots”

At the Innovation Studio (IS), sixth and seventh grade students at St. Gregory A. & M. Hovsepian School immersed themselves in an exciting interdisciplinary adventure through the school’s STEAM program, In Deep Sea Bots! Drawing inspiration from the remarkable adaptations of deep-sea creatures, students integrated science, technology, engineering, art, and math to design and construct functional underwater robots and devices.

This hands-on project is a key component of a comprehensive STEAM curriculum that fosters curiosity, creativity, and real-world problem solving. Far more than a standalone activity, In Deep Sea Bots! exemplifies the school’s commitment to innovative, inquiry-based learning that bridges multiple disciplines and empowers students to think critically and inventively.
