Flintridge Prep’s SCAC Expands Blood Drive Impact with Acts of Cheer

Today, Flintridge Prep’s SCAC (Student Community Action Council) hosted its second blood drive of the school year. This time, the student-leadership group expanded its impact beyond the gift of life by also giving the gift of cheer. During Community Block, while students 16+ donated blood, all grades were invited to make handmade cards for hospitalized children. In doing, the doors were open doors for students of any age to help make a difference.

“The tough part of a blood drive is that people under 16 don’t get to make an impact,” said SCAC Commissioner Hana. “We wanted to make it so younger kids to get involved too.”
